Refreshing

Well in the months that this blog has gone untouched we have finalized on a name, changed our lineup and finished up some songs. If things go as smooth as we plan we'll be playing shows and recording by the summer!

Well in other news working on some new guitar parts, we'll probably be working on our third song the weekend after thanksgiving! :D

On the way upstate for Thanksgiving vacation I wrote some lyrics

(you can check them out in the lyrics section of course)

"You went about it all wrong kid" will be our third song, which is great stuff.

Basically it's about a kid who starts a fire and kills someone by accident.

I swear it's not as brutal as it sounds. 

Lyric Excerpt: You never wanted to burn me// You only wanted to make us brighter.

A more innocent touch to it I think.

Well stay tuned for more because.. upstate new york isn't as eventful as you might think.

So this thing'll definitely get updated

I love The Usual Suspects.

Another band practice. Although our vocalist is sick and couldn't make it (get well soon you smooth cornhole)  we are still maintaining some level of productivity.

-Future Synth/vocal try out, looking forward to it.

-Looking into ways of recording a decent demo.

As you can see, a pretty snazzy step forward has been taken.
We are Officially "To the wolves!"

If we had some band pictures those would be posted now to make us seem cooler.. but for now all i have is this:

What's scarier is that everyone else just seems to be used to it.

Close but no cigar

We're almost there I think as far as band name's go. 

We have a selection to pick from that we're all okay with, but nothing that everyones in love with just yet.

This weekend is band practice and i think it'll be refreshing to get back to just music.

A nice break from all the awesome band name ideas i've been getting..

"Hey, Alijah? Yeah how about "Monster A-Go Go!!"..no? Well fuck you"

Band Name Update #1

About two days dedicated to throwing names back and forth.

Phrases, words, quotes and sayings. 

The best and worst part of a band:

"NO WE CAN NOT BE 'THE CORNHOLERS'!!!"

Upon further inspection there are a couple other bands with a similar name to ours.

"But that name was sooo brootal"

Ah it's okay kid, back to square one. I share your pain.

Now the journey of.. once again going through lists and lists of possible names that five people will have to agree with. ....

It'll be fine....

Internet Prowess

about a half hour worth of verifying emails and remembering passwords. Feel like a hacker.

As I'm writing this none of the accounts are customized or have any content whatsoever but in a few days everything will be up and running.

Travis, Kill the Engine!

This is our first song, I wrote the lyrics based off of a game titled Shadow of the Colossus.

Pretty brutal looking right?

Basically the main character "Wander" brings his love "Mono" to an alter after she had been sacrificed. In order to bring her back to life by this ominous being he must slay 16 colossi with help of his horse.

Spoiler Alert: Well in the end he realizes that with each monster slain he gradually becomes a colossus himself. Inevitably being slain. The ending credits show a garden being opened upstairs, mono awakes and walks through with her newborn child.

Basically it's the most productive i've been musically and I figured the can be an outlet for it's updates.
Whenever we play shows, write songs. Lyrics, ideas. All I need now is someone to read these things.
